does a wireless charger working show that the logic board has life?

hey guys, my iphone 12 pro stopped working this morning and i think the battery finally gave out at around 71% health. now at first i was worried because the shop i went to said that tried a new battery (which i don't believe since why would they put a new one w/o charging me) and second, i have an at&t wireless charger and it blinks blue when working. now when i put my phone on it, itll blink for a little bit but stop, but it gives me hope that the logic board is attempting to pull a charge but it can't since the battery is gone. am i assuming correctly or may my logic board be done for?
