A below-knee prosthetic, also known as a transtibial prosthetic, is an artificial limb designed to replace the lower part of the leg, from below the knee joint to the foot. It enables individuals who have undergone lower limb amputations to regain mobility and perform daily activities with the aid of a custom-fitted, functional prosthesis.

Your prosthetic is made of fiberglass and is molded using plasture of paris. Grt a thin sheet of fiberglass and resin. Most likely the thinest sheet you can get. Use gloves and follow directions on fiberglass resin can ( most auto parts stores, or boat sales, repair stores have all that you need) put on a sheet at a time (one should do it unless crack goes all the way around).make sure to let it dry completely. It will be as good as new if not better. I have a below knee prosthetic for 36 years now. I have benn very rough on all the ones I had. I didn't have the luxury of getting it fixed by a prosthetic doctor so I did repairs myself. I built and balanced my last one with parts I found at a thrift store. Lol. No kidding??? Who would have thought someone would donate their leg? I thank them for it. Anyways I hope this helps. If you have any more questions about it I will be more than happy to help if I can. Troy T.
