Hi, I was replacing the joy cons on my friends controller with Hall effects and I accidentally tapped this connector with my soldering iron and now the “X” button doesn’t work.
It’s the connector for the ribbon cable that goes from the button pad on the right side of the controller to the the main board
Does anybody know what this part is called so I can purchase a replacement?

It is an 8 pin flex cable PCB socket
However, finding a replacement is another issue.
I didn't find anything on Aliexpress.com, but you may find something on digikey or mouser. I didn't look.
You may also find a for parts only board on ebay.

Thank you I appreciate the help. I don’t see anything on digikey at first glance but I’ll look into it further
