I bought a HF3520 second hand, and everything works fine except that whenever the lamp should be totally off it is at full brightness.
For instance, if I press the lamp button the lamp turns to however bright/dim I've set it, but if I press it again it turns to full brightness.
I've tried disconecting it for a while, and reseting it but nothing has worked.

Iβm suspecting the settings are off either AM - PM confused or the time zone setting.

I checked the manual. I changed the time setting and that didn't fix the issue, also the lamp function should be able to be turned on and off regardless of the time.
@ericastrue - Then the switch is bad or the logic which controls the lamp.
I have HomeKit version of the lamp and have it programed with Siri as well via my HomePod Mini. My first unit was defective as the control logic was bad.
I see, maybe it's a different model as with mine I don't think I can conect the device with other devices.
@ericastrue - Sorry, I may have confused you. If the settings are correct then itβs the switch or the logic which controls the light. Best to find someone with micro electronics skills to help you locally.
Someone on reddit told me about having a similar issue, and in his case it was a fawlty capacitor. I've dissassembled the light today and I've found that that same capacitor has a slight bulge on the top in my unit. I'll try to test it tomorrow and replace it, and I'll get back to this thread.
