Help! Connecting battery data ribbon to logic board

I replaced the battery on my MBP and it all went well EXCEPT that it seemed like there was no ZIF connector between the battery data cable and the board.

It might have detached and flown off but I can’t find it anywhere.

Can anybody please advise on how to connect the ribbon to the board now? Do I need to buy a ZIF connector somehow? Is there some way I can solder it?

Thanks so much for the guidance so far. I’m looking around for somebody who can fix these things in central London.

I found the ZIF. My goodness it is microscopic. I can’t tell what part is ZIF and what part is the old ribbon. Nightmare!

Do you know of anybody who can fix these things in London?

Does it look salvageable?
