So recently my iPad 5th Gen LCD broke and i’m short of cash. I really need to save money for this repair so i searched online that if it is possible for me to replace the LCD with an iPad Air’s. I found a breakdown from 2017 showing that it is possible but has anyone done it before? Like anyone else in this community? I also want to know if its possible for me to use an iPad Air 2’s LCD instead of a 1’s

Yes, most ipads with identical screen size have quite a few interchangeable components
I found even the motherboard in my old destroyed ipad air 2 looked the same as the motherboard in my ipad 5th gen which I opened for battery replacement
