Power plug error icon on my Krups EA826E10!

Hello everyone,

I have a strange issue with my Krups coffee machine. It shows the power plug error icon every time I turn it on.

After checking online, I found that this problem is often caused by the NTC sensor. When I inspected mine, I saw that it had completely come loose from the solder, so I resoldered it, reassembled everything, and reset the device.

Now, when I turn it on, it starts for a couple of seconds, tries to run the self-cleaning and heating cycle, and I can hear a high-pitched motor sound — but not the usual lower one. Then it goes back to showing the plug icon again.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be causing it? Any help would be appreciated!

@coffelex Try replacing the sensor with another one. Spare parts from Krups are not always available, so you have to buy a used one. Another possibility ist to buy a sensor from DeLonghi and solder it in, as shown here and here.

Hey @vauweh Thanks for the answer. Is there a way to check the sensor? do you know what ohmage it should be in?

@coffelex For DeLonghi (and I suppose for Krups too): Thermosensor 110 kOhm at 23°C and 5,3 kOhm at 95°C.
