How to tell that one of the speakers is dying

As the question indicates,i have a pair and the right side is cutting out,and dont know how to tell if the speaker is dead or dying,or if its fine and i just need to look elsewhere for he issue,should mention for some reason playing a bass boosted song forces it to work for a while again,no clue on the works of how.
