Stabilitrak traction control turns off when driving.
My Stabilitrak control turns off intermittently when driving at speeds over 40 mph. I've already cleaned the throttle body, but the issue persists, and now the engine light is on. I'm planning to replace the accelerator pedal sensor. Are there any other potential causes for this problem? I've watched numerous YouTube videos, and most suggest cleaning the throttle body.

Stabilitrak is part of the anti lock brake system, not the EFI system including the throttle body. ABS requires all four wheel speed sensors to monitor each wheel speed for traction and braking control whether driver induced or loss of traction control occurs. Wheel speed sensors, wiring to sensors, reluctors (steel teeth) are external components exposed to weathering and road debris that may damage them. Some auto stores like Autozone have readers that can decode abs errors.

You need to have the engine computer scanned to find out what trouble codes are present that caused the check engine light to come on. Those codes will most likely point you in the right direction to figure out why your issues are happening. I wouldn't just start randomly replacing parts without a better idea of the cause.
