Are the logic boards interchangeable?

I have a 2010 MBA 11" with 1.6GHz / 4Gb RAM.

The logic board is dead

I can get a 1.4GHz / 2Gb RAM logic board for a sensible price (but not a 1.6GHz).

Can I swap these one for the other?

I know performance will drop :-( but are they the same fit and function?

I don't think they will swap. The Video is different, one has Thunderbolt, one has Min Display port, so the cases themselves would be different externally which makes me believe there'll be internal differences as well.
