so when i turn on ps3 by switch at back the standby by button is red, then when i tap the button to turn it on it beeps once blinks green once then red then turns itself completely off
if anyone has a clue what i need to do please leave comment

This isn't a solution, but my PS3 does this as well. I left it in my car during the heat wave about 3 weeks ago, so I'm guessing it's hardware failure of some sort (I guess that's obvious though). I just want to know which part it is, or how can I find which part failed so I can possibly replace it. Anybody have an answer?

Same deal except I repaired (reflowed) it. So I'd be interested to know as well.
