    • Prepare a large workspace.

    • Save all work and shut down the computer.

    • Unplug all cables from the back of the computer, including the power cable.

    • Press the button on the back of the chassis labeled Internal Access. The side panel should come off.

    • Lift up and out to remove.

    • Make sure to store the side panels somewhere safe and out of the way.

    • Unscrew this screw.

    • Slide the panel backwards against the case, and pull up.

    • Unplug these two cables.

    • Squeeze the two tabs on either side of the bay, and pull it out.

    • Unplug these cables and let them hang to the side.

    • Remove this screw, and lift up the bracket holding the graphics card in place.

    • Unscrew these two screws at the other end of the graphics card.

    • These screws can be difficult to remove. If they do not come out when twisted, push on the other side of the screw while unscrewing.

    • Push down on this latch behind the graphics card.

    • Pull firmly on the graphics card until it comes out.

    • Unplug each of these cables from the motherboard:

    • System Fan Header & 4-Pin CPU Power

    • LED, Power Button, & LED Strip

    • Front USB Ports

    • Hard Drive 1 & 2

    • 24-Pin Power

    • Front HD Audio

    • Unscrew this screw at the bottom of the motherboard and remove the WiFi module. Be careful of the antenna that are wired to the module, as they are fragile.

    • Unscrew these 8 screws.

    • Carefully remove the motherboard, holding it by the fan of the CPU cooler.

    • Push down on these two tabs. The RAM module should come loose.

    • Pull it out.

    • Unscrew this screw.

    • The SSD should pop up. Pull it out of the socket.

    • Remove this header for the CPU fan.

    • Remove these 4 torx screws and pull the cooler off of the CPU.

    • Make sure that the thermal compound does not touch any other parts of the motherboard when removing.

    • Flip the motherboard over and pull off the backplate.

    • The backplate is glued in, so use a scraper or knife to slowly remove the adhesive material from back of the motherboard.

    • The CPU and CPU socket are very fragile. Do not remove the CPU unless you have to.

    • Press down on the retention arm to the right of the CPU socket. Move it to the right, and then slowly release.

    • Bring it up and back until the CPU bracket flip out. Carefully remove the CPU from the socket.

    • DO NOT touch the inside of the socket! There are hundreds of small pins, and if even one of them is bent, the motherboard will no longer work.

    • If you are installing a new cooler or CPU, it is best to clean off the thermal paste using a paper towel and rubbing alcohol.

    • Unscrew these 4 screws at the back of the case.

    • Push down on this small bracket behind the PSU.

    • The PSU cables are routed all around the case. In order to full remove the PSU, you must find and remove each cable.

    • Never take apart the power supply itself. Even if it is unplugged, capacitors inside the unit can still hold fatal amounts of charge.
