Locate the tie strap holding the wires and cut with a pair of scissors.

Using wire cutters, cut each wire as close to the wire connector as possible.

Cut the wires in both bundles.

Using the wire stripper, remove 1/2 inch of the wire insulation at the end of each wire to expose the bare wire for re-connection.

Twist the exposed ends of the wires so that they stay together.

Push the wire cap onto the exposed ends while holding the wires and twist in a clock-wise direction until it is tight.

Repeat this process for both bundles of wires.
