Create an opening gap

  • If your iPad's screen is badly cracked, wear skin and eye protection. Cover the screen with a smooth layer of clear packing tape to contain glass shards and help the suction cup adhere. Alternatively, use a strong piece of tape (such as duct tape) and fold it into a handle.

  • Place a suction cup next to the iPad's home button and press down to create a seal.

  • To get the most leverage, place the suction cup as close to the edge as possible without going past the edge of the display.

  • If you want to use the Anti-Clamp, a tool we designed to make the opening procedure easier, follow this guide.

  • Firmly pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap between the front panel and the rear case.

  • Don't pull too hard, or you may shatter the glass. If necessary, apply more heat to further soften the adhesive.

  • Once you've opened a sufficient gap, insert an opening pick into the gap.

Wenn das Display des iPads stark gesplittert ist, dann solltest du Handschuhe und eine Schutzbrille tragen. Klebe eine glatte Schicht von durchsichtigem Klebeband über das Display, damit die Splitter zusammenhalten und der Saugheber besser haften kann. Du kannst auch etwas starkes Klebeband (Panzerband) zu einem Griff formen und aufkleben.

Bringe einen Saugheber in der Nähe des Home Buttons an und drücke ihn gut fest.

Setze den Saugheber so nahe wie möglich am Rand an, damit die Hebelwirkung groß wird. Gehe aber nicht über den Rand hinaus.

Wir haben die Anti-Clamp entwickelt, um diese Arbeit zu erleichtern. Wenn du sie verwenden willst, dann folge dieser Anleitung.

Ziehe fest am Saugheber, damit ein kleiner Spalt zwischen der Frontscheibe und dem Rückgehäuse entsteht.

Ziehe nicht zu stark, sonst könnte das Glas zerspringen. Erwärme erneut, falls nötig, damit der Kleber weiter weich bleibt.

Wenn der Spalt groß genug ist, dann schiebe ein Plektrum hinein.
