screen doesnt turn on

jasonrussell, that could be caused by two things. One would be a bad LCD and the other a bad backlight fuse. Try to angle your LCD against some light and see if you can make out some shadows. Usually I use a darkroon and a flashlight angled against the LCD to determine a bad backlight. Anyhow, attached is a picture about the backlight fuse. It is annotated in Russian :-) and the "F" shows the fuse. Use a multimeter to check for continuity. You also want to check the LCD cable as well as the connector for any damage, corrosion etc. you can also check on here. Hope this helps, good luck.
