Different Types of Keyboards

The Keyboard on my Macbook (Model A1181) is going out and I was going to order another one. The problem is I found two different types of keyboards. One with the brightness buttons on f1 and f2 and another one with the brightness buttons on f11 and f12. My current keyboard has it on the f1 and f2 buttons. Can I use either one of these with my Macbook or does it have to be the same? I just bought one with the brightness buttons on f11 and f12 but I'm not sure if I should cancel the order for it or not.

Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we know your exact machine. Also, if you have them, the part numbers of the boards you are looking at.

Here are the Apple uppercase part numbers that will work for you: 922-9550, 922-8264, 922-8265, 661-5075, 661-5076

Looks like you bought a 922-7754 for a 2006 Core Duo. My sources do not indicate this will work for you. This part is for Compatibility

MacBook (13-inch), MacBook (13-inch Late 2006), MacBook (13-inch Mid 2007)

Thank you for all the info! I was looking today and I found another one but it is not one of the models you listed above, but all the keys are in the same place. Could please take a look at it and tell me if it is compatible or not? Thanks.

Sorry, the only place I really found that part number was eBay, not with any parts supplier ;-)
