What can I do about an overheating laptop?
After using my laptop for more than half an hour it gets uncomfortably hot. Is there a reason for this, and can I fix it?

If your laptop is overheating, there could be two causes.
If the fans on your computer are running constantly but your laptop is still overheating, your air vents may be clogged. This means the air isn't circulating through the laptop. This just takes some cleaning of the air vents located on the side and it should stop overheating.
A more serious issue could be that the fans are not working properly. If you do not feel hot air blowing out of the vents at all or you do not hear the fans running, the fan is either not connected properly within or it is going to need to be replaced.

Sorry for the late response.... The Hp pavilion x360 laptops are built with a intel M series processor and integrated ram/video.
the M series was designed to be fanless, the motherboard will melt before the processor craps out... That being said, there is not a fan inside of these.. I took mine apart because I was curious and found this out.
They run hot, but dont be scared, laptops are designed to be able to withstand high temps.

Get a PC cooler with the fans in the middle Targus makes great, cheap, but very functional fans. I have a fanless Toshiba laptop that runs at 112.3 degrees C* It burns your skin, like if you were to stick your hand in boiling water but with that fans it now runs 25 degrees C* and a huge performance jump.
