So I'm buying this iPhone 6 online. The phone is missing it's screen but he has a home button. Is there any way for me to check if the button is the one paired up to the logic board that's in the phone?

If it doesn't come with the screen then you will need to buy the full front display assembly with home button extension with back metal plate and front camera assembly with speaker.
The least amount of parts you need to get to test it is the home button extension and the front display with the home button plugged in. Then you can test the touch ID fingerprint functionality.
Honestly I don't think it's worth buying like that. For all I know it could have apple activation lock (Locked to iCloud apple ID) or IMEI number blocked.

Yeah, that was what i thought. I hoped I could check from searching in a database or something. I'm in contact with the seller so I can get pictures and everything but he lives on the other side of my country so if the home button is wrong it woulnd't be much for me to do... Thanks for responding!
If the home button isn't the one married to the board, worse case is that you will just have no fingerprint functionality on the home button. Other than that the home button will work as normal per usual.
yeah, but it's the error 53 I'm worried about..
Error 53 isn't a thing anymore. I would be more concerned about Apple ID lock
