I had my old laptop on this one the 5100 wanting to make sure I got a copy of all pictures. I walked away to make lunch when I came back in it just states For Realtekl RTL8139(x0/8138/810x pci fAST Ethernet Controller v2.13 (020326 PXE-E61 : Media test failure, check cable

PXE - MOF: Exiting PXE ROM.

Any way to get the pictures off now

There are a few ways you could go here:

  • Easiest is to pop out the drive and then use a SATA to USB adapter like this one: Startech 2.5" SATA to USB adapter
  • The other way here is to get a USB WiFi adapter if you have WiFi setup on your other system
  • The last way which is the most expensive is to get an external USB drive to copy off the images
