Whenever I turn the camera on (Rear Camera), the camera immediately starts making buzzing and clicking noises and can not focus on an object near or far. Images look wavy, like some sort of psychedelic? filter has been applied.
The front-facing camera is operating fine.
I'm guessing I will need to replace the rear-facing camera. Has anyone done this?

Hello Adam Crateau, I'm having a similar problem with my Honor 8 rear facing camera as well and I think I found a solution. Replacing the camera is probably the best option without sending in your phone. Fixez.com has a really great tear down and reassembly video. In addition they have replacement parts to go along. I hope this answer will help you and others having the same problem.
