I bought this laptop for my ex girlfriend. She left and now I still have the laptop but don't have the password. How can I get into the laptop? Might be a stupid question but anything would help!

i suppose is a windows password, you can try downloading
Offline NT Password and Registry Editor to remove the windows password

it depends upon the windows if you have window 10 or 8 and if you forget the admin password than you have to reset the window but only if you have window 8,8.1 and 10.
if you are using window 7 than you have to download a password cracker software or need to install window again
one other if on the sign in window its shows email id than you can use email password but if forget that password also than reset email password
