Can I Swap the logicboard from my late 2012 A1398 Retina 15” 8gb ram 2.3ghz motherboard, for an early 2013 2.4ghz 16gbram a1398 logicboard?
What benefits are there or can I pretty much upgrade the logicboard all the way to late 2013 model with built in graphics?

yes, this is possible, as they are the same dimensions and many connectors are the same. You can't go to the Late 2013 however, just from the Late 2012 to Early 2013.
