@canoi it most likely will not explode but it may stop working. You want to go ahead and remove the back of your set and take a look around on the boards. See if you can determine where that noise is coming from and if there is any damage to any component. Post some images of your boards with your question so that we can see what you see. Right now going by the noise you are describing, this could be an issues with the caps, or MOSFET's. But we would have to see more of what the boards etc. look like.
