My flash is not working. There is a spark when I take a picture
When I take a picture with my flash a spark comes out of the flash.

Does the flash look physically "broken" at all?
If so search online for Canon PowerShot SX230 HS flash replacement.
There are a number of results where the supplier offers the replacement part and also help with self installation.
Here is just one example. This is not a recommendation to use the supplier. It is shown to give an idea of the cost and also what extra help they offer. There may be others that suit you better.
