I have got notification for soft wear update and I have allowed to update. After that my iMac is not opening. Message is showing as follows "macOS could not be installed on your computer. Quit the installer to restart your computer and try again." Now how can I quite the installers?

You should have the possibility to close it from the menu bar but since something went probably bad during install it might be the menubar is not there ? If so you don't have any other alternative left than force shutdown with power button. Hopefully it will boot correctly otherwise you'll have to reinstall the OS.
