I'm about to reassemble my ps4 after replacing the fan, and I realized that instead of Arctic Silver 5 I actually have Arctic Alumina thermal adhesive...Is it safe to use?..The only other paste I have is some generic silicone compound.

@mr_monty NO! You do not want to use this! “Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive is a permanent adhesive. Components you attach with Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive will stay attached forever. “ Never use this on parts that you may have to disassemble again.

Yes it’s fine! As long as it’s thermal paste it doesn’t really matter what you use! (Unless your thermal paste is not good enough but I’m pretty sure the one you have is fine)
