Why does it keep freezing?
My Gamecube looks fine, but keeps freezing no madder what I try

One of the most common causes of freezing is heat. Sounds odd, but when the CPU gets too hot is will fail. Whether or not this is permanent is chance. Try opening up the unit and checking all of the ICs that have heat sinks on them. Make sure that the heat sink compound (sometimes called paste), is there and not dry and crumbly. Remove the old paste and apply new.
Update this with the results.
