Why cannot the other party hear me?

Try using the earphones with the microphone attachment or using the phone in loudspeaker mode (or hands free mode) to check if you can be heard when on a call.

If you can be heard then there may be a problem with the phone’s internal microphone or perhaps the voice inlet hole, located on the bottom edge of the phone may be blocked with lint etc.

To check the latter possibility, use a strong light and a magnifying glass to inspect the voice inlet hole.

If it appears to be blocked (or even if you can’t tell), try using a vacuum cleaner to clear the blockage. Do not use a pin or probe to try and clear the obstruction as you may damage the microphone which is directly behind the hole.

If you still can’t be heard when using the methods above, try starting the phone in safe mode to determine if it is a hardware problem (faulty microphone) or if it is perhaps a downloaded app that is the cause of the problem

If it still doesn’t work in safe mode then you have a hardware problem.
