How to Replace Touch Digitizer?
I saw the tutorials for taking the htc evo apart but is there one of how to put it back together with a new touch screen digitizer?? Thanks in advance.

Steve, granted, I am a little confused by exactly what you are asking. Here are all kinds of guides HTC Evo 4G that will assist you with that. Once you have it disassembled, replaced the digitizer, you assemble in reverse order.

I find it very difficult to get the LCD and digitizer apart without breaking one or the other. Use a heat gun on the adhesive and go very, very slowly.
Also keep in mind there are two Evo LCD's out there, made by two different manufacturers, and with differently sized connections, so make sure you get the right one. One has a skinnier cable, less than 10mm wide, and the other is closer to 20 or so.

Forget it, I was able 2 remove Da screen by using a knife and sticking it in Da gap area where Da speaker is on the top of Da Evo. Thanks 2 this guide, I was able 2 replace my screen. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

lpg091531, give us more detail here? Did it work before? How did the display break etc. Best you could do is to ask your own question. Click on the link on the right side of this page "Ask a question" and give as much detail as possible. Right now your question shows up as an answer....:-)

I believe Steve is wondering how to APPLY the adhesive. And I have the same question. It's not a matter of over all assembly. It's logical that we would put it back together in reverse order. We just want to know how to APPLY the adhesive. In other words, what's the technique for applying new adhesive? Or do we need to apply new adhesive?
