Hi @edgewood ,

If the GFI trips mid brew there may be a problem with the heater element in the machine, going low resistance (shorting out) to the earth connection (chassis perhaps) in the machine as it heats up or another component that is “live” during the brew cycle, maybe the thermostat, touching earth.

The machine will need to be opened and the heater circuit tested to verify this.

I discovered the GFI was tripping because one of the water hoses on one the heater ports was leaking.  Water was dripping onto the lower end of the brew group motor and the on the wires and electronics at the bottom of the machine.  Once the machine dried out and I reset the GFI outlet the machine would run until the water leaked enough to cause a current leak.  It was not shorting enough to blow my circuit breaker but just enough to trip the GFI outlet.  I hope that helps someone else with a similar problem.

Same problem I think with my Jura Z9. So did you just replace a hose or do something else to repair your machine?
