iPhone SE Stuck at 1%

So I have an iPhone SE and after replacing the screen the battery wouldn’t charge and when it did it would either stay at 1% and keep rebooting or max out at 5%. Sometimes it’ll say 100% I’ll unplug it and after around 5 seconds it’ll go flat. I’ve tried multiple batteries and that doesn’t fix it. After looking at the board with a S9+’s camera it looks like a capacitor has fallen off and it’s labelled ‘C2410’ I believe. Could that be what’s causing my issue? Any advice apart from what I’ve tried will be extremely helpful. It’s not my main device so I don’t mind and may try practicing micro soldering on it too, so fire away on answers :)

Yes! I have the exact same problem! However it used to be3-5%, now it's just 1% or 100%> I don't know why this happens! You can email me at joshuaglennwhite@gmail.com, if you want I don't know if this post is old.

If this is the one right above the battery connector then yes, these can be harvested from another iPhone donor board like a iPhone 5s or 5.

It will require someone with micro-soldering to get the said component replaced.

I've done some research and by the looks of things you can short it to temporarily use it or see if this is the issue... is this true? Thanks

Capacitors hold charge and one end of the capacitor goes to ground while the other comes from a power line.

Jumping the two pads for that cap would be a very bad idea as it would short that line to ground making the phone not turn on or worse cause damage.

If this was a filter this would be no problem as a filter just filters the power going through from one end of the filter to another.

Okay, thanks for that. If I want to start micro soldering is this a good start seeing it's 1 capacitor? Sorry if I'm getting this all wrong I've learned this all in like 20 minutes hahahahaha

If this is a phone spare phone you don't need then it's good for practicing micro-soldering.

If this a phone you need or the data on it is important I recommend taking it to someone that can replace this capacitor for you (micro-solderer).

One capacitor is fairly low difficulty but it requires a steady hand and a very fine soldering iron tip to replace it.

Thanks! Yup it's just a spare I got for free. I already do the usual screen replacement etc but I want to get into this sort of thing. It's been reset so there's no important data on it. I'll try get the necessary tools and give it a go. It'll take a while for them to get here but I'll try keep this post updated on how it goes. Thanks for the advice :)
