Having touch issues after installing a new lcd digitizer

Im currently the owner of a computer repair company that fixes many devices but the surface still seems to give me issues my personal surface pro 3 as well after replacing the lcd digitizer on this unit i continue to have touch problem mainly a dead spot in the top left corner about and inch from each side i have replaced the part thinking it was defective but it is not the odd part is if the lcd digitizer is lifted out of the body it works fine not until i lay it in place does the touch issues arise and suggestions would be helpful thank you
