Is replacement battery too thick?

I installed a replacement battery and a replacement screen, and it seems like the battery is too thick. I cannot get the case to close completely and there is a blue tinge on the screen at the upper left corner. I think the battery is pressing against the back of the screen.

I guess the problem might be the screen but it seems more likely that the problem is with the battery.

Or possibly I have done something wrong?

Update (10/26/2019)

I removed all of the old adhesive and used new adhesive strips. All new components are from ifixit.

Move the battery cover closer to the battery. (The black thing covering the battery looks like it is peeling away by the volume buttons.) This will be why you can't close the screen.

Can you post a photo so we can see where the pressure mark is?

If the battery is too far to the left, or too high up, then the screen will get caught as you go to close it, causing pressure marks.

If it looks like the image below then it should close properly, unless the battery is defective, or there is a bend in the phone chassis.
