MacBook kernel panic using retail snow leopard dvd

I tried using a retail snow leopard dvd that I bought and I got the same kernel panic I keep getting but with a different code panic cpu 1 caller "0x558993" unable to find driver for this platform. Could this indicate a bad DVD drive or bad motherboard

It does sound like you have a deeper hardware issue. How much RAM have you installed? Have you tried running the build-in diagnostics? Restart the system and press the D key. Did you get any errors?

Reference: Mac startup key combinations

Update (03/05/2020)

Here’s your systems specs: 13” MacBook 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo (White/06). The highest OS-X this system supports is Lion OS-X 10.7, Snow Leopard 10.6 should be OK here.

I think your logic board just has a problem. Do you have access to another one?

Here's a good reference on running diagnostics: How to use Apple Hardware Test on your Mac

Didn't work, it tried to boot the hard drive and gave me the kernel panic unable to find driver for this platform

из

The ram tested fine with no errors
