Using the original screen

I have the dreaded hot batteries that has caused the screen to delaminate from the frame. There is quite a separation on the right hand side ``

``and a smaller on on the left hand side

of the screen. There is very little discoloration on the screen and there is no flicker.

It is out of warranty and Microsoft will swap me a “similar” refurbished Pro 5 for $599.

Question: Assuming I can detach the screen with no damage, can it be reused (or did the heat causing the delamination stretch it, too)?

@tigershark125 going by your description it appears that this is “only” a delamination. IT won’t have stretched it so you can reuse it. You may even find that some sort of adhesive (OCA/LOCA) could minimize the effect of the delamination. Post some images of what you are looking at, with your QUESTION. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question

uioe the delamination. Makes me wonder why. Anyhow I'd proceed with a very careful attempt of removal and the relaminated with some have duty UV adhesive.
