Unable to read disk through playing

so i have an original xbox and it has been well taken care of but here recently it is saying unable fo read disc when started or after a while of playing the game stops and says unable to read disc. The problem isnt the disc though as it works perfectly in other original xboxs. I suspect maybe the lens is dirty but i am not exactly sure… should i just replace the disc drive? Should i try and clean the lens? I dont really wanna mess it up so i wanted to here recommendations here first. Thanks
