My laptop is stuck in an install loop.
My laptop has been running pretty slow for quite a few months but its brand new, so i decided i would try doing a restore to my last backup (which i created when i first got the laptop) in case i might have downloaded something that was causing this performance hit. i then realised my backup had disappeared so i did a reinstall of windows to factory settings, it did its normal windows install loop that took about 2-3 hours but then it just kept looping constantly turning itself on and off but keeps saying windows is installing at 64%, so i left it for another 3 hours thinking it was just taking longer than it should.
3 hours later. it was still in the same install loop, but now only 1 in every 5 reboots it would say how much of windows is installed and still say 64%. now i knew there was an issue, i have a windows 10 media tool USB and tried plugging that in and let it run for about 20 minutes hoping one of the boot loops it would go to the USB instead but nothing happened, it just kept looping.
anyone have any reasons for why my laptop is deciding to be in a boot loop with installing windows?
