My pc does not give input to my monitor

Recently i had to swap my motherboard because on my old one i did a Bios update and apparently the update killed it. i bought a Gigabyte b450 aorus i pro wifi. only problem is that my pc does not give input to my monitor i've tried

  • removing my gpu and plugging the hdmi cable to my motherboard
  • putting the hdmi cable on the motherboard while the gpu was in
  • cleaning the ram with a brush
  • checked if all my cables are plugged in properly
  • tested my monitor and cable with a console
  • started it without mouse and keyboard
  • i know its booting up to windows because after a bit my cooler changes color from white to purple, i have nzxt cam installed and it runs at boot, everytime i run the program the color on my cooler goes from white (default) to purple (the one i customized). i really don't know what to do if there's something i can do please tell me

Hi @beppeita ,

Firstly plugging the HDMI cord into the motherboard won’t work as the CPU has no integrated graphics. A Ryzen 5 3600 needs a discrete GPU card to be inserted into the motherboard for video to work.

I realize that you said that it was booting OK but try connecting a system speaker (supplier example only) to the speaker header pins on the motherboard and check that there is only a single beep (if Award BIOS) and no other beep error code when you start the PC. (here’s the motherboard user manual see p.12 Item #12 for the location and p.17 item #12 for the connection of the speaker)

Do the GPU fans turn on?

If you have a DMM (digital multimeter) measure the PSU output voltages including the voltages on the cable connected to the GPU card, using the paperclip test.

Can you try another known working GPU card in the PC or try your GPU card in another PC to prove whether it is OK or not or if there is a problem with the new motherboard (assuming the GPU card worked before with the old motherboard?)
