New iFixit replacement battery not detected after 3 months.

Hello, I recently replaced the battery in my 2013 MacBook Pro with an iFixit battery. It has been working great up until recently. I noticed battery life wasn’t as good as it was but wasn’t horrible. Just this morning I saw the light was green on my charger but when I came back a little later it was orange. I turned on the Mac and there was an X through the battery icon. System Profiler says no battery detected. Checked the inside battery connections, everything looked good. Didn’t drop it or damage it in any way recently, just stopped working overnight.

Ouch! Your batteries micro-controller has failed which is why nothing is showing up. You’ll need to contact the iFixit store to see if you can get a replacement. They offer a year warranty, dig out your order info if you can. iFixit Customer Support

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I bought the battery through Amazon do you think iFixit will still cover it? It is an official iFixit battery and I do still have the order info from Amazon

@Dominic Bono - Sorry I can't answer that. There are a lot of scammers on Amazon and eBay I've been burnt to many times! I buy very little from them as its so bad and such a pain to get refunds.

True. I reached out to iFixit and they have a new battery on the way. Amazing customer service!
