Hi,
Try a power refresh and check if that resolves the problem.
- Disconnect the charger from the laptop and then remove the battery from the laptop. Here's the ifixit HP Compaq CQ58-bf9WM Battery Replacement guide that shows how to do this.
- Press and hold the laptop's Power On button for a full 15 seconds and then release it.
- Reinsert the battery into the laptop.
- Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop.
