LG Dishwasher LG8874ST snowflake light keeps flashing even when full

rinse aid full but low rinse aid snowflake keeps flashing. sometimes you can open and close the door a few inches rapidly to slosh the rinse aid around and the light would go off, that solution is not working anymore. BUT it is using lots of rinse aid no matter what setting it is set to dispense at, So it's not clogged. Refilling evey other wash cycle, snowflake constantly flashing,

Did you mean an LG LD8874ST?

Here's an image of the wiring diagram seen on p.65 of the service manual that may help.

Disconnect the power to the dishwasher, remove the harness cable plug from the control board's RD6 connector and then connect an Ohmmeter across pins 1 and 2 (yellow and blue wires) of the cable harness plug and test if the switch is operated when it shouldn't be.

If there is a problem with the switch inside the rinse aid dispenser, search online for MCU61861001 (examples only) to find suppliers that suit you best.

To remove the dispenser see p.19 of the manual.
