I have a similar problem with my 2014 GE gne26gsdcss, except the lights in the fridge section are dim, not out. The fan is running and the compartment is cold, and there are no problems in the freezer section.

Here's the mini manual for the model.
Run service diagnostic test 00 91 FF lights test and check if the LEDs turn on 100%
Also not sure that it works the same way but most likely it does, see the page and the following page in this link on how the LEDs work.
