Hi @olleneck,

Please verify the model number of the tablet as shown on the bottom of the back cover.

The model you specified doesn't support mobile phone technology i.e. no SIM card support, only WiFi.

If using WiFi it depends on which network you connect to.

Here's a list of Fire tablets that support SIM cards:

Fire HD 8.9″ 4G (2nd Generation)

Fire HDX 7″ (3rd Generation)

Fire HDX 8.9 (4th Generation)

Fire HDX 8.9″ (3rd Generation)

Amazon usually uses AT&T, if the Kindle is anything to rely upon. They don't use AT&T branded SIM cards, but make their own with a Ki key only they know and assume remains consistent for the life of that device since the SIM is not designed to be user-replaceable. This is not like a smartphone or other brand of tablet which makes it user accessible.
