Lines on laptop screen
There are lines at my laptop screen how can i resolve?
Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if the display on it is OK. Don't forget to press the F10 key (or Fn + F10) to toggle the display between the laptop screen only, the external monitor only or both on together.
If the display on the external monitor also has lines, then there's a motherboard problem and further testing would be required to find out what it is . Worst case would be a motherboard replacement.
If the external display is OK then there may be a problem with the laptop's LCD cable or cable connection (at either end, motherboard or display) or the display panel.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. To to p.47 to view the procedure to remove/replace the LCD panel. This will give you access to check the cable and also to replace the LCD panel if necessary.
If the cable is faulty (damaged perhaps where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the lid), the part number is 5C10L08582. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
If the cable is OK then most likely the LCD panel is faulty and will need to be replaced. There are two LCD panels available for the laptop. They are part numbers 5D10H34460 and 5D10N87520. Both are compatible with the model. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
