As a diyer, did you try checking for a blown fuse? Next is searching for access to the electric solenoid release assembly in the trunk. You may have to remove panels or covers for access then visually examine for wiring damage/disconnection/corrosion on terminals. Using remote or interior trunk release button, have someone press to release as you observe and listen for actuation. Having a multimeter to measure voltage on the terminals when activating release should show 12v power to the solenoid to determine if power or solenoid failed.

When you say your electric trunk isn't working, could you clarify what you mean? Does it not open or close? When you open it, does it beep?

Hi @bahaazayed

Check that the 10A Module 1 fuse located in the passenger compartment fuse box, under the dashboard on the driver’s side, behind the protective cover is OK. Here's an image showing where it is situated in the fuse box.

If the fuse is OK check that the trunk lock actuator and trunk open switch are both OK. Here's an image that shows how to test if they are OK or not.

f you're experiencing issues with the electric trunk of your Kia Quoris 2013, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and fix the problem:

  1. Check the trunk fuse: Start by inspecting the fuse related to the trunk in the fuse box. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new one of the same rating. The location of the fuse box and the specific fuse for the trunk can usually be found in the owner's manual.
  2. Test the trunk release button: Press the trunk release button inside the vehicle to see if it activates the trunk latch. If nothing happens, it could indicate a problem with the button itself or the electrical connection. You may need to replace the button or check the wiring.
  3. Inspect the trunk latch: Open the trunk manually and examine the latch mechanism. Look for any visible damage, loose connections, or obstructions that may be preventing it from operating properly. Clean any debris or lubricate the latch mechanism if necessary.
  4. Check the trunk motor: The electric trunk usually relies on a motor to open and close. Listen for any sounds coming from the motor when you activate the trunk release button. If there's no sound, it may indicate a faulty motor that needs to be replaced.
  5. Test the trunk switch: Some vehicles have a switch or sensor that detects when the trunk is closed. This switch may need to be checked or adjusted if it's not registering that the trunk is closed properly.

If you've attempted these troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, it's recommended to have a professional mechanic or authorized Kia service center diagnose and repair the electric trunk. They will have access to specialized tools and knowledge specific to your vehicle model, which can help identify and fix the problem more accurately.
