Turn off to soon, why?
I can't turn on with the button. It only turns on if I connect it, if I disconnect it it lasts a short time on. I haven't used it in a long time

Seems like the battery needs replacing.
Here's the ifixit iPod Nano 6th Generation Teardown guide that may help.
Search online for 616-0531 to find battery suppliers that suit you best.
