alain soto, DTC P1491: EGR Valve Insufficient Lift Usually caused by a bad EGR valve, the solenoid, or the vacuum regulator. You may also remove the intake manifold and clean out the ports, there might be a lot of carbon buildup. Download great diagnostics instructions from here. Hope this helps, good luck

Have the same code P1491 EGR car runs great been sitting with not much driving for 6 years No hard shifting and is quiet only 38,000 miles but traction control light comes on too off and on. ?
