According to the printer's wireless specifications (Wireless LAN) it is IEEE802.11b/g/n compliant.

IEEE802.11n means it can be compatible with either 2.4GHz or 5.8Ghz WiFi. It depends on what Brother decided to use

IEEE802.11b/g means it is compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi only.

If the printer can't detect the 5.8GHz WiFi network, e.g. SSID of WiFi network is not shown in setup, then presumably it is only 2.4GHz compliant

If the printer can detect the 5.8GHz WiFi network e.g. SSID of WiFi network is shown in setup, check that the correct password has been entered in the printer's WiFi settings.
