@perrymoore it's a bit difficult to envision what this looks like, You may want to consider adding some images to your question. Adding images to an existing question That will allow us to see what you see.

The way I would proceed with this is by either replacing the charging board, if the port has come of, or by disassembling the phone rand reseating the board. Again, it all will depend on what this all looks like.SInce iFixit does not yet have a guide for that, use something like this video to work on that.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
