Any other visable damage? Have you changed the battery lately?

Yes battery has been changed, power switch has been changed no visible damage there is discoloration on the charge and link port so possible water damage but I’ve looked the board over and I’ve seen no corrosion, I followed the power trace and it goes under the cartridge slot so I’m wondering if there is possibly corrosion underneath

@smallville1962 Have you doublechecked the soldering pionts on the power switch? Might have a short if it has been changed and that's the only change from a working SP to now.

@smallville1962 post some good pictures of your circuit board with your Question. well focused, large size and both sides. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
